“Mau mauing the Flack catchers,” 2008 – Black Victimhood, White Guilt

Backfire on Obama, the “Black” candidate

Obamas new pastor says Rev. Wright was lynched by White media

Hilary Clinton should send the reverend Jeremiah Wright a fruit basket—and Wright’s successor, at Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago, Rev. Otis Moss III, deserves no less.

Wright and Moss, the newly installed pastor at Trinity, have helped define Barack Obama as the Black Candidate from the “Black Radical Church of Blame Whitey” in Chicago.

If Obama was thoroughly vetted as potential vice presidential candidate—or a cabinet nominee for example, it is highly likely that even a Democrat-controlled Senate would spike his nomination over his association with his “friend and uncle” pastor Wright.

Now that Wright is suddenly “on sabbatical’, both from the church and ejected from the Obama campaign, new pastor Moss delivered his Easter homily, “ How to handle a Public Lynching” cleverly comparing Wright’s pastoral demise to the persecution of Jesus, using a modern day “media lynching metaphor” and indirectly blaming the (white) media.

So now, the story that the lib media ignored for the past 18 months has been resurrected between Palm Sunday and Easter and may have given ‘eternal life’ in the Campaign that Never Ends.

Both Trinity preachers are deeply engaged in the time-honored tradition of “mau mauing the flak catchers,” using anti-white sloganeering to perpetuate white guilt and exploit black anger. (See author Thomas Wolf, “Radical Chic: mau mauing the flak catchers,” 1970. The Mau Mau were black Kenyan terrorists in the early 1960’s who intimidated and murdered whites and blacks.)

Wright has gained pastoral infamy by blaming the U.S. government for 9/11 and the worldwide AIDS epidemic, among his more socially acceptable viewpoints. Not much different than whack-jobs like Rosie O’Donnell.

Moss may be following in his footsteps—unless the Obama campaign can muzzle him quickly as they did Wright.

Obama was not in church Sunday to hear Moss add fuel to the flames. But Obama’s lib-epic sidestep speech last week only damned Wright slightly with faint praise–and stopped short of a clear apology.

For the next week or two, Obama will continue to fiddle while his campaign burns white voters.

If you don’t understand the term “mau mauing the flak catchers”, there was also perfect example of the phenomenon last week on the Bill O’Reilly show on Fox news.

O’Reilly’s producer, Griff Jenkins, had just completed a brief, evasive interview with Jesse Jackson at the take back America Convention in Washington D.C. about reverend Wright’s views. Jenkins was intercepted and physically confronted by a large black man who towered over him, grabbed his mike, blocked his path and proceeded to verbally intimidate, invade his personal space and harass him for at least a minute—until Reverend Jackson interceded.

This was “mau mauing” at its worst, an NAACP nightmare in prime time, just slightly less frightening than the concrete block bludgeoning—on live news chopper TV–of white truck driver Reginald Denney who blundered into a vicious mob during the April, 1992 Rodney King riots in L.A.

It took Jesse Jackson to rescue O’ Reilly’s producer—while African Americans rescued Denney from certain death at the hands of other African Americans. (Everyone remembers who nearly killed Denney—but no one remembers who saved him.)

This most recent example of near-assault by a large, angry African American man, who presumably thought he was defending Wright, Jackson, Obama or all three, helped perpetuate the stereotyped image of gratuitous thuggery that white and black Americans fear the most.

Without the harsh media glare on Obama’s presidential campaign now shedding light on black radicalism, both the Wright diatribes and the huge thug vs. skinny white producer episode would be largely ignored.

But these events viewed together give white Americans flashbacks to the late 60’s in prime time– two examples of angry black men who hate them and their country. Perhaps they wonder, “Is Obama a radical in disguise? Does Obama excuse Black Racism and thuggery too?”

Unfortunately for the Obama campaign, timing is everything. Hillary Clinton is on the upswing—helped in no small measure by Obama’s pal Pastor Wright.

The Wright story and the spin-offs it creates have been magnified by the white hot lights of television—and amplified by the way that Obama appeared to justify Wright as a misguided uncle who had a worldview from another time—just like his white grandma.

Except grandma never had the attention of national TV audiences, spewing hatred for white America.

Without repudiating Wright and apologizing for participating in and supporting a church that did nothing to leash Wright’s hate speech aimed at whites and Jews in general and America in particular, Obama failed at leadership, failed to apologize and distance himself from black racists. He also showed white Americans that because he is friends with those that hate this country, he can’t be trusted with the Presidency.

Worse for Obama, Wright’s preaching provided Hillary a priceless blessing.

Wright’s words, excused by Obama (who was either in his pew not inhaling, or off somewhere campaigning for 20 years), have become a curse for Obama.

Wright has done for Hillary Clinton what Bill Clinton fumbled in South Carolina and Geraldine Ferraro sacrificed her good name for.

Wright created Doubt: Mr. Perfect has strange bedfellows.

Obama’s wife Michelle has done her best to create Doubt, too.

She has only been proud of America since her husband has been running for President, she explained twice in public speeches. She also believes America is a “mean country”.

Highly educated, attractive and formerly articulate, she seems now to be an Angry Black Woman and will disappear from the campaign trail completely and soon, if Obama’s handlers can rein her in.

She may even be worse for the Obama campaign than the bizarre heiress Theresa Heinz Kerry was for the John Kerry campaign.

But, back to Obama, is this formerly perfect candidate actually a closet radical who believes Wright’s preaching? Or is he an idiot, an empty suit who simply doesn’t get it?

Wouldn’t a prudent politician long ago distance himself from someone like Wright?

And how could a man who says we must all come together be part of a church that perpetuates huge lies and always blames white society for all things detrimental to African Americans?

The logic is simple and inescapable. Obama’s chink in the armor is arrogance. He is without humility, believes that he can do no wrong—and that he owns the liberal media. He will excuse any liberal excess and blame America first, last and always.

By not leaving a church that Wright pastored, or at least repudiating Wright at some point, Obama and 8,500 members of Trinity United Church of Christ have already excused and honored such distinguished men as racist Muslim radical Louis Farrakhan, and paid homage to Pan Am bomber Moamar Khadafy in Tripoli.

Presumably, Obama ordered his webmaster to delete the link to the Black Panther party website that had been up for some time.

While libs defend Obama and accuse the fair and balanced few in the media of creating “guilt by association” with this church and this pastor, the damage is done and white voters have a growing, uneasy feeling.

Hillary Clinton benefits from this strange turn in the campaign, and the discovery of Obama’s Achilles heel of arrogance.

It won’t take a genius Clinton ad man to create a devastating TV or radio spot using Wright’s rantings spliced together for 25 seconds, followed by these words: “These are the views of Pastor Jeremiah Wright. A man Barack Obama called his spiritual advisor for 20 years. Senator Obama says he can no more disavow Pastor Wright than he can his own white grandmother.”

Is Obama’s success to date partially a result of White guilt?

Was Geraldine Ferraro right after all?

No matter, Hillary is waiting for Obama to self-destruct. His arrogance has made race the real issue—not the war, the economy or uniting all victims under one liberal tent. Will white male voters come around to Obama now –or ever? Will Hillary’s legion of older, non-college educated female voters drift away any time soon? Not likely.

What is certain is that Hillary will benefit and the race will tighten. Operation Chaos—with a boost from Obama this time.

The outcome will not be known until well into the convention in Denver. It’s a dream come true for Republicans who understand that the eventual Democratic nominee will have to bludgeon his or her opponent to win, spending tens of millions between now and the nomination, probably leaving millions of Dems dissatisfied and sitting out the election.

John McCain will be the real winner. He’s waiting, patiently. Far from the Democratic blood bath to come, he’s the known commodity in a time of uncertainty. An American hero, a man that can at least be trusted and respected, a man that has sacrificed and served America all his life.

This might just be the last blog I write about politics in America. I have written about Obama being the American Mandela, the burden of the hope he brings, and the man he is in his own right. But I don’t know anymore. I still believe in Obama, but I just don’t believe in American politics anymore. If this is how they want to play politics in America then I don’t want to play anymore. This is too sick. This is nothing to be proud of. Yes, they won – the cynics and morally corrupt. This is just not right guys. This is not what people fought for and died for. The Founding Father would be ashamed. And so should you. http://angryafrican.net/2008/03/23/the-founding-fathers-will-be-ashamed/

Politics is a blood sport and if Obama thought he could skate on hope and change he was mistaken.

It’s called substance my friend and Mr. Obama gives very eloquent speeches, however, the lack substance.

Further, he wants Socialism for America and that’s unfortunate because American’s deserve and expect better. Hope is an intangible, change is a statement based on things beyond the power of a politicians or any individual to transform a huge society.

If it’s a racist issue than look no farther than Rev. Wright, Barack Obama and the church they cherish. Look at the hate mongering in front of children and quit crying about America, injustice and the poor me mentality. Indeed!

P.S. Don’t leave us, we enjoy your comments. Stay involved, read this blog and stay informed to the truth.

I got through the post by Tom Bliss and I was doing well until the last statement. Then he said: “An American hero, a man that can at least be trusted and respected, a man that has sacrificed and served America all his life.”

I don’t think that anyone who appreciates the First Amendment can trust McCain. Remember McCain-Feingold? If you believe we are at war, then how can you call a man who betrays his country with the McCain-Kennedy amnesty bill and fights to keep our border open a hero? Is there any advantage to the USA in fighting terrorists by giving them an unguarded border to enter and kill us at will?

If this is service to country, then McCain truly belongs in the same pack with Hillary and Obama.

I’m impressed, I must say. Actually rarely do I encounter a blog that’s both educative and entertaining, and let me inform you, you have hit the nail on the head. Your idea is excellent; the difficulty is something that not enough people are speaking intelligently about. I am very completely satisfied that I stumbled throughout this in my search for something regarding this.
