I have watched several analysts from both sides of the aisle attempt explanations of Kerry’s recent interviews and the analysis ends up like a twisted car wreck. The struggle to explain what Kerry stands for is impossible and here is why, aside from his changed positions, Mr. Kerry doesn’t get it.

• Peter Struck, the German Defense Minister, recently told Der Spiegel that “No German soldier shall enter Iraq.”
• “French and German government officials say they will not significantly increase military assistance in Iraq even if John Kerry, the Democratic presidential challenger, is elected.” Foreign Minister Michel Barnier added last week that France had no plans to send troops “either now or later, ” as told to the Financial Times.

• 800 U.S. Casualties, 1,053 including non-combat deaths. Uniformed Iraqi allies have suffered 750 casualties. Real math shows the number at 50%.

John Kerry claims the U.S. provides 90% of the troops and he will train Iraqi’s to quickly build their military capabilities.

• 100,000 Iraqi police and soldiers have been trained and equipped, in addition to the 74,000 Iraqis who are guarding oil pipelines as part of the country’s new facilities protection service. Factoring in 138,000 U.S. military and 25,000 coalition forces, the number is 50% of U.S. share in providing military forces.
