Media Doesn’t Matter – Lies of the Left

by @ 12:05 am. Filed under Media, Military, Politics, War on Terror

The target – Rush Limbaugh. The shooter – MediaMatters and the phony Left.

Left-leaning group, Media Matters, has manufactured false information and has begun a controversy based on their lies against Rush Limbaugh’s use of the phrase “phony soldiers.”

According to the Media Matters narrative, on his September 26 program Limbaugh accused troops who want to withdraw from Iraq of being “phony soldiers.”

Senator John Kerry, who served in Vietnam and committed treason said this:

“This disgusting attack from Rush Limbaugh, cheerleader for the Chicken Hawk wing of the far right, is an insult to American troops. In a single moment on his show, Limbaugh managed to question the patriotism of men and women in uniform who have put their lives on the line and many who died for his right to sit safely in his air conditioned studio peddling hate. On August 19th, The New York Times published an op-ed by seven members of the U.S. Army’s 82nd Airborne Division critical of George Bush’s Iraq policy. Two of those soldiers were killed earlier this month in Baghdad. Does Mr. Limbaugh dare assert that these heroes were ‘phony soldiers’? Mr. Limbaugh owes an apology to everyone who has ever worn the uniform of our country, and an apology to the families of every soldier buried in Arlington National Cemetery. He is an embarrassment to his Party, and I expect the Republicans who flock to his microphone will now condemn this indefensible statement.”

My, my Mr. Kerry, we believe you owe the United States Military an apology for years of lies, deceit, false testimony and treason.

The Truth is On Rush’s Side (from Transcript)

I want to thank you, Mike, for calling. I appreciate it very much. I gotta — Here is a morning update that we did recently, talking about fake soldiers. This is a story of who the left props up as heroes. And they have their celebrities.

One of them was Army Ranger Jesse Macbeth. Now — and he was a corporal. I say in quotes. Twenty-three years old. What made Jesse Macbeth a hero to the anti-war crowd wasn’t his Purple Heart, it wasn’t his being affiliated with posttraumatic stress disorder from tours in Afghanistan and Iraq. No. What made Jesse Macbeth, Army Ranger, a hero to the left was his courage, in their view, off the battlefield, without regard to consequences, he told the world the abuses he had witnessed in Iraq. American soldiers killing unarmed civilians, hundreds of men, women, even children. In one gruesome account, translated into Arabic and spread widely across the Internet, Army Ranger Jesse Macbeth describes the horrors this way. We would burn their bodies. We would hang their bodies from the rafters in the mosque.

Now, recently, Jesse Macbeth, poster boy for the anti-war left, had his day in court. And you know what? He was sentenced to five months in jail and three years probation for falsifying a Department of Veterans Affairs claim and his Army discharge record. He was in the Army, Jesse Macbeth was in the Army, folks, briefly. Forty-four days before he washed out of boot camp, Jesse Macbeth isn’t an Army Ranger, never was. He isn’t a corporal, never was. He never won the Purple Heart. And he was never in combat to witness the horrors he claimed to have seen.

Probably haven’t even heard about this. And if you have, you haven’t heard much about it. This doesn’t fit the narrative and the template in the Drive-By Media and the Democrat Party as to who a genuine war hero; don’t look for any retractions, by the way. Not from the anti-war left, the anti-military Drive-By Media, or the Arabic websites that spread Jesse Macbeth’s lies about our troops, because the truth for the left is, fiction is what serves their purpose. They have to lie about such atrocities because they can’t find any that fit the template of the way they see the US military.

In other words, for the American anti-war left, the greatest inconvenience they face is the truth.

It’s appropriate that John Kerry, who lied to receive commendations and purple hearts, would make a false statement against Rush Limbaugh based on a false story from a “soldier” who lied and was convicted by the military for his lies.

Last Sunday Fox News linked to an AP story about Jesse Adam Macbeth. The Fox headline was titled, “Phony Soldier Charged With Making Up Claims of Atrocities in Iraq.”

The AP story begins this way:

“A man who tried to position himself as a leader of the anti-war movement by claiming to have participated in war crimes while serving in Iraq is facing federal charges of falsifying his record.”

The motto reads, “Ranger’s Lead the Way.” Leadership is something neither John Kerry or Jesse MacBeth have little knowledge of. In the end, MediaMatters doesn’t matter at all.

Moonbats of the Week

by @ 12:06 am. Filed under Foreign Affairs, Moonbat Awards, Politics, War on Terror

Venezuela’s President Hugo Chavez

 and

 Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad

The “leaders” of Iran and Venezuela cemented an alliance aimed at countering the United States while the Iranian president reached out to a new ally in Bolivia and declared that together, “no one can defeat us.”

Are we playing soccer? Iraq may have something to say about that!

“Together we are surely growing stronger, and in truth no one can defeat us,” the Iranian leader said through an interpreter.

“Imperialism has no other option: Respect the peoples (of the world) or accept defeat.”

“We will continue resisting to the end in the face of imperialism,” Ahmadinejad said.

“And the age of imperialism has ended.”

Hugo may need to find a new friend in his lonely world of tyrants as Iran is heading towards self-destruction. “Repect” may very well equate to “Tomahawk” for an Iranian regime dangerously close to self-anhiliation. As the saying goes, “Watch what you ask for, it may be more than you expect.”

Hillary Clinton Welfare – Fuzzy Math Abounds

by @ 2:16 pm. Filed under Elections, Govt. Regulation, Politics, Pork Watch, Taxes

Hillary Clinton said Friday that every child born in the United States should get a $5,000 “baby bond” from the government to help pay for future costs of college or buying a home during a forum hosted by the Congressional Black Caucus.

“I like the idea of giving every baby born in America a $5,000 account that will grow over time, so that when that young person turns 18 if they have finished high school they will be able to access it to go to college or maybe they will be able to make that down payment on their first home,” she said.

Clinton, once again, has not offered how the “baby bond” would be paid for (we already know that) nor did the Socialist Senator from Liberal bastion New York provide any clues as to the interest rate and compounding that would be required to keep up with rising educational costs.

An actuary would have a field day with this one. $5,000 invested at 4.75% over 18 years would accumulate to $11,737, hardly enough to pay for a 4-year education at a college or university. (See College Calculator)

According to the Baby Center more than 4 million babies are born in the United States each year, and the details of how, when, and where they arrive are always shifting.

4 million babies at $5,000 each comes to $20,000,000,000 per year, not including the government taxpayer funded interest.

“I think it’s a wonderful idea,” said Rep. Stephanie Stubbs Jones, an Ohio Democrat who attended the event and has already endorsed Clinton.

“Every child born in the United States today owes $27,000 on the national debt, why not let them come get $5,000 to grow until their 18?”

Ms. Tubbs is no math whiz either; where does she think the national debt comes from?

Why should government fund people from the womb for a house purchase or assuming they are college material?

The answer is Socialists like Clinton want total government control over U.S. citizens from the womb to the grave. With their love for the estate tax Liberals actually want your wealth beyond the grave. Lenin would be proud!
