They don’t need arrests. They need naturalizations. They’re here because we weren’t stringent on naturalization rules when they arrived. We are the ones who changed our minds and started calling them illegal. So we have to make naturalizations available to them, in kiosks, traveling shows, whatever. The real money drain is their American employers who get away with paying them below minimum wage.

I don’t know of any vans that will legally hold 14 passengers. It seems that passengers who are unlawfully seated without seatbelts can be cited. If those passengers cannot produce good ID and, during a subsequent investigation lead officers to believe that these individuals are in the US illegally, the officers have more than enough probable cause to arrest and transport the defendants to ICE for further investigation.

The ACLU is suing for only one reason – and that reason is consistent – they get paid regardless of the merits of the case by the jurisdiction they are suing. So when they sue a cash-strapped city like Providence, the liberal administrators prefer to surrender and cut their losses rather than be forced to pay exorbidant fees to the ACLU. Regardless of what you want to call this, it is extortion. The law that permits the ACLU to do this must be repealed.
