Following a night with Hillary supporters raising $500,000 VP candidate Sarah Palin left her hotel the next day and while in Ohio:
GALLIPOLIS — Gallipolis (Ohio) Wal-Mart shoppers were at first surprised and then
excited on Sunday to find a national political figure in their midst who was, just as they were, picking up a few things she needed.
Accompanied by her youngest son Trig, security, staffers and a small pool of news media, Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin stepped off the “Straight Talk Express” bus to enter the store around 1:30 p.m., where she purchased a bag of Parents’ Choice brand disposable diapers and a toy.
Everyone at the reception contributed $28,500 to McCain-Palin Victory 2008, a joint fund-raising committee for the Republican National Committee and several state Republican parties.
Here we have a hockey mom meeting with Hillary Clinton supporters not leaving her normal life to shop at Walmart.
“It was so exciting,” said Pat Miller of Patriot, accompanied by her daughter Amber, a student at South Gallia High School.
“She seemed to be very sweet, and if she could stop and take the time to buy some diapers for her son, it tells you that for her, family is first.”
“She was really down to earth,” Ashley Fisher said. “There was no ego and she treated us with respect, which sometimes you don’t get from political people.”
Down to earth, indeed!

Isn’t that fabulous? Well, I’m certainly going to vote for her if she buys diapers at Walmart! What more could we ask for in a candidate for VP?

Yeah, we could have Joe Biden who passes $2 million dollars to his family via campaign money.
Ignorance is bliss but it finds my comments section frequently. Indeed!

Don – You guys on the blogosphere seem to think that just because you repeat silly lies, it makes them true. It doesn’t — it just makes you look even more foolish. Joe Biden is as good and decent a human being as you could ever hope to have in office, and will be a refreshing change from the two oil-profiteers who’ve been trashing our constitution and economy for eight years.

Lies? Why don’t you do some research before you come here and accuse me with lies?
I have written based on facts and the new media does the job the shills for Obama-Biden don’t.
Lies? What do you call the mainstream media. Pathological liars and dangerous. Indeed!

If you’d actually read the article, you’d discover that Joe Biden didn’t “pass $2 million dollars [sic] to his family.” His sister managed his first political campaign, and quite successfully I might add, and the overwhelming portion of that $2 million went to purchase media advertising, not “to his family”. There was absolutely nothing wrong with that — unlike the political shenanigans the Palins are now being investigated for — having the contractors who were paid by the city of Wasila to build the municipal hockey rink also build the Palins’ home “as a favor to them”. Now that’s corruption, in addition to the abuse of power she’s already been found to have engaged in.

We certainly read the article and find the practice is legal. Who makes the laws?
However, the article we read did state the distastefullness and unethical flavor attached to the pract.

The Wasilla Welfare Queen is just the political hypocrite of this century. Even Nixon blushes at this chick’s shameless chicanery at the blatant end of tax-funded swilling. She’s squandered more on glad-rags than I’ve made working a real job over two years.

Aren’t you misinformed, indeed!

[...] So much for “Palin the Wal-Mart mom.” [...]
