Michelle Obama is proud of herself; Michelle Obama is proud of her children; Michelle Obama is proud of her husband Barack Hussein Obama.

MICHELLE OBAMA IS PROUD, FOR THE FIRST TIME IN HER ADULT LIFE, TO BE AN AMERICAN.

In the Left-Wing bastion of Madison, Wisconsin Mrs. Obama told a crowd,  “For the first time in my adult lifetime, I’m proud of my country.”

Apparantly Mrs. Obama is not proud of the WWII generation, “The Greatest Generation”, she is not proud of America’s victory in the “Cold War” and the toppling of the Berlin Wall. Mrs. Obama is not proud of Americans great support during Hurricane Katrina and the terrorist attacks of 9/11. Mrs. Obama is not proud of America liberating Kuwait, Afghanistan, and Iraq.

Michelle Obama is not proud of America and Americans who went to Indonesia and helped during the terrible tsunami. Michelle Obama, of course, is not proud of President Bush’s successful initiative that has lowered the epidemic of malaria and AIDS in Africa.

Mrs. Obama has only recently discovered she is proud to be an American. The L.A. Times chasitised Conservatives for discussing this.

“As a political spouse, she is somewhat unusual. She isn’t the traditional Stepford booster, smiling vacantly at her husband and sticking to a script of carefully vetted blandishments.”

That proved prescient — she’s taking heat today from some conservative commentators and bloggers for telling her crowd in Madison: “For the first time in my adult lifetime, I’m proud of my country.”

Obama, 44, went on to say that her feeling stemmed not only from the success of her husband’s presidential quest, but also from the yearning for change she detects in the vox populi. “And I’ve been desperate to see our country moving in that direction …” she added.

So her husbands success does make her proud but how does “yearning for change” make one proud? “

Mrs. Obama is desperate for change, but her comments are the fault of Conservatives for discussing them. Desperate indeed!
