You name it and listening anything Barack Obama say it becomes isn’t to spot the pathological liar in the room or in front of the teleprompter.

Unemployment is now at 10.2% and Obama is still blaming George W. Bush.

Obama took time Thursday — before jetting off to Asia for a 10-day tour — to announce a December jobs summit aimed at synching job growth with the massive government spending meant to “break the back” of the recession.

The announcement came as the Labor Department reported another 502,000 new jobless claims, two high-tech mainstays announced big layoffs.

Obama said the White House forum will gather CEOs, small business owners, economists, financial experts and representatives from labor unions and nonprofit groups “to talk about how we can work together to create jobs and get this economy moving again.” 

“We all know that there are limits to what government can and should do, even during such difficult times. But we have an obligation to consider every additional, responsible step that we can take to encourage and accelerate job creation in this country,” he said. 

What we all know is government does not create jobs, they tax jobs and the businesses who create jobs. That is an economic and business fact!

Part of what makes Obama a Moonbat is the following statement:

“The economic growth that we’ve seen has not yet led to the job growth that we desperately need,” Obama said.

“This is one of the great challenges that remains in our economy — a challenge that my administration is determined to meet,” he added.  

One more time Obama, you and your Leftist ilk cannot create a positive economy by attempting to spend your way out of a recession. Tax cut allows consumers to spend money and businesses to expand and create jobs. It’s call free markets and capitalism, not Marxist/Fascist control.

The Obama administration, is debating whether to set a chunk of the $700 billion financial rescue aside for debt reduction according to people familiar with the matter. It is also expected to lower the projected long-term cost of the program — the amount it expects to lose — to as little as $200 billion from $341 billion estimated in August.

If you have a $10,000 balance on your Visa card and decide to get a $10,000 loan to pay off the Visa balance you have traded one debt for another. You may receive a lower interest rate on the loan but you still have a $10,000 debt.

Obama uses the term debt reduction one telling the American people he is fiscally responsible because he is going to reduce the Federal deficit with taxpayer money called TARP. Pants on fire, again!

Obama was glad to speak near the Brandenburg Gates and pretend he is a great leader but he is a “leader” who doesn’t lead, takes no personal responsibility, blames others for problems and is proving fast that he couldn’t lead a whore to bed or the US States to prosperity.

Barack Hussein Obama wants all the attention brought towards him and in a taped speech commemorating the fall of the Berlin Wall he did just that, included himself in the speech. No Reagan, no Thatcher, no dissidents but himself, the self-important, narcissistic Obama.

“Few would have foreseen . . . that a united Germany would be led by a woman from Brandenburg or that their American ally would be led by a man of African descent. But human destiny is what human beings make of it,” Obama said.

Via Instapundit comes word that the federal government’s Office of Personnel Management (OPM) intends to purge the federal government of Republican civil servants all in the name of purify the federal bureaucracy.

Under his new rules, made retroactive for five years, the Office of Personnel Management will examine civil service employees who got their start as political appointees in the Bush administration and terminate those employees. The order is retroactive to 2004, that moment when a number of Republican congressional staffers and others sought to embed into the second Bush administration right after the election.

According to John Berry, the Director of OPM:

Beginning January 1, 2010, agencies must seek prior approval from OPM before they can appoint a current or recent political appointee to a competitive or non-political excepted service position at any level under the provisions of title 5, United States Code. OPM will review these proposed appointments to ensure they comply with merit system principles and applicable civil service laws. I have delegated decision making authority over these matters to career Senior Executives at OPM to avoid any hint of political influence.

The memorandum goes on to apply this change to civil servants who were political appointees in the last five years, in effect freezing these employees out of other positions, denying them promotions, and forcing them out of their jobs.

No one is allowed to stand in the way of Barack Obama’s agenda, including his own bureaucracy. This is what happens in third world kleptocracies and totalitarian regimes.

Obama is promising to send troops to Afghanistan but has decided over and over to rethink the strategy. General McChystal has the strategy, he is the expert and Obama is no leader, no military strategist and the people advising him are no better.

Obama’s deliberations over war strategy in Afghanistan have narrowed to four options but a decision is still weeks away, the White House said on Tuesday.

“The president will have an opportunity to discuss four options with his national security team tomorrow,” Obama’s spokesman, Robert Gibbs, told reporters aboard Air Force One.

In his confidential troop request, McChrystal argued that 40,000 additional troops were needed to help secure Afghan population centers and to give NATO some additional resources to take on Taliban and al Qaeda fighters in outlying areas, officials said.

He declined to say what they were. This is because Obama is dithering away while troops in Afghanistan fight his “war of necessity”, the one he blamed on George W. Bush for abandoning. Well, Obama has abandoned our US fighting forces in Afghanistan.

Friday Obama’s Attorney General Eric Holder announced that five top terrorists, including Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, will be prosecuted and tried in federal court in New York City. This is, of course, the logical consequence of treating terrorist attacks as crimes rather than as asymmetrical warfare.

Holder called his decision to move their trial on war crimes from a military courtroom at Guantanamo Bay to American soil “the toughest” he has had to make. Other words come to mind. For starters, intellectually and morally confused, dangerous and political to a fault would be more appropriate.

This decision befits President Obama’s rushed and misguided announcement on his second day in office that he would close Gitmo within a year. This was before the Administration had thought through what to do with the 215 prisoners there, though it did win him applause in Europe and on the American left. Yesterday’s decision rids Gitmo of these meddlesome detainee cases in order to speed up this entirely political shutdown.

Please spare us talk of the “rule of law.” If that was the primary consideration, the U.S. already has a judicial process in place. The current special military tribunals were created by the 2006 Military Commissions Act, which was adopted with bipartisan Congressional support after the Supreme Court’s Hamdan decision obliged the executive and legislative branches to approve a detailed plan to prosecute the illegal “enemy combatants” captured since 9/11.

Contrary to liberal myth, military tribunals aren’t a break with 200-plus years of American jurisprudence. Eight Nazis who snuck into the U.S. in June 1942 were tried by a similar court and most were hanged within two months. Before the Obama Administration stopped all proceedings earlier this year pending yesterday’s decision, the tribunals at Gitmo had earned a reputation for fairness and independence.

Many Americans may overlook the legal niceties and see this episode through the lens of common sense. Foreign terrorists who wage war on America and everything it stands for have no place sitting in a court of law born of the values they so detest. Mr. Holder and his boss Mr. Obama have honored mass murder by treating it like any other crime.
