Sen. John Kerry (D-MA) and Sen. Chuck Hagel (R-NE)

Perpetual Moonbats, John Kerry and Chuck Hagel sound like folks who want a position in a Barack Hussein Obama administration. Too bad for America, very good for her enemies.
Mr. Obama would unconditionally sit down and talk with our enemies and provide them with a face they don’t deserve and have not earned. By recognizing our enemies in formal talks and negotiations Barack Hussein Obama would give them credibility and at the same time diminish the credibility of the United States.
John Kerry and Chuck Hagel would do the same.
Syria’s leaders have always made cold calculations in the name of self-preservation, and history shows that intensive diplomacy can pay off, Kerry and Hagel write.
Syria works with Iran, Hamas, Hezbollah and the two Senators would make us believe Syria is an ally of the US.
After Iraq invaded Kuwait in 1991, President George H.W. Bush did the improbable and convinced Syrian President Hafez Assad to join an American-led coalition against a fellow Baathist regime.
Syria’s leaders have always made cold calculations in the name of self-preservation, and history shows that intensive diplomacy can pay off.
If Syria wanted to “preserve” itself who would be the better partner, the United States or Iran and it’s terrorist puppets? Why does Syria harbor leaders of Hezbollah and Hamas while supporting the demise of Lebanon on Israel?
Syria views peace talks with Israel as part of a broader rapprochement with America, and its strong desire for U.S. involvement can work to our advantage.
Why was Syria building a nuclear facility with the help of Iran and North Korea, which Israel bombed?
We know that high level, direct talks will require a sustained and credible American role, just as they did in 2000, when President Bill Clinton met repeatedly with Mr. Assad in bringing Syria and Israel to the brink of a deal. With so much at stake, it’s in our interests to come to the table again.
Was this “deal” part of the same one negotiated with Yasser Arafat that was signed and then never lived up to? Does harboring your enemies and being a part of a terrorist network make it likely talks will help or will appeasement only fail?
Hezbollah must eventually be disarmed, as United Nations Resolutions 1559 and 1701 require, but its agreement not to use force internally could be used to push Syria to shut off the supply of weapons.
The door has always been open for Syria to cooperate with Democracies against terrorist groups but Kerry and Hagel are failing to have Syria take responsibility and blame the puppet masters for Syria’s negligence.
The Bush administration has tried time and again to have Syria stop harboring al-Qaeda and to stop arms shipments through its borders into Iraq. That has not happened.
Tough economic times in Syria also create leverage. Although domestic oil production accounts for 60%-70% of the country’s exports, Syria became a net oil importer in 2007. With a growing population, greater integration into the global economy and an easing of sanctions could be powerful incentives.
Did UN and economic sanctions stop Saddam Hussein? No, it gave us Oil for Food that brought in billions of dollars into the tyrants coffers with huge payoffs to UN employees.
Are talks and sanctions stopping Iran from developing nuclear warheads? Did any threats stop Syria from cooperating with North Korea to build nuclear warheads? Are agreements with North Korea being acted upon by Kim Jong Il? NO, NO, NO!

We could only hope the crocodile would eat Kerry and Hagel, Moonbats, indeed!
