Ms Cullen is suggesting that the American Meteorological Society (AMS) revokes the “seal of approval” that it normally extends to broadcast forecasters in the US in cases where they have expressed skepticism about man’s role in pushing up planetary temperatures.

In another words, Moonbat Cullen is calling for professional censorship for anyone with a differing point of view on global warning. Cullen acquires the award as she backs the discussion of repeat Moonbat, Al Gore who calls skeptics, “global warming deniers.”

However, many of the skeptics on global warning are predominant meteorologists and scientists with impeccable credentials.

Counterpoint

James Spann, Chief Meteorologist for ABC 33/40 states:

Well, well. Some “climate expert” on “The Weather Channel” wants to take away AMS certification from those of us who believe the recent “global warming” is a natural process. So much for “tolerance”, huh? Billions of dollars of grant money is flowing into the pockets of those on the man-made global warming bandwagon. No man-made global warming, the money dries up. This is big money, make no mistake about it. Always follow the money trail and it tells a story.

Even the lady at “The Weather Channel” probably gets paid good money for a prime time show on climate change. No man-made global warming, no show, and no salary. Nothing wrong with making money at all, but when money becomes the motivation for a scientific conclusion, then we have a problem. For many, global warming is a big cash grab. The climate of this planet has been changing since God put the planet here. It will always change, and the warming in the last 10 years is not much difference than the warming we saw in the 1930s and other decades.

And, lets not forget we are at the end of the ice age in which ice covered most of North America and Northern Europe.

Al Gore refused a well-planned interview in Denmark with a Danish newspaper and Bjorn Lomborg, author of “The Skeptical Environmentalist,” to offer counterpoints to Gore’s global warming argument. Gore wanted only questions about his book and documentary, “An Inconvenient Truth.”

Journalist Flemming Rose and Mr. Lomborg pose questions and comments to Gore and the global warming advocates:

It would have been great to ask him [Gore] why he only talks about a sea-level rise of 20 feet. In his movie he shows scary sequences of 20-feet flooding Florida, San Francisco, New York, Holland, Calcutta, Beijing and Shanghai. The U.N. climate panel expects only a foot of sea-level rise over this century. Moreover, sea levels actually climbed that much over the past 150 years.

Mr. Gore says that global warming will increase malaria and highlights Nairobi as his key case. According to him, Nairobi was founded right where it was too cold for malaria to occur. However, with global warming advancing, he tells us that malaria is now appearing in the city. Yet this is quite contrary to the World Health Organization’s finding. Today Nairobi is considered free of malaria, but in the 1920s and ’30s, when temperatures were lower than today, malaria epidemics occurred regularly. Mr. Gore’s is a convenient story, but isn’t it against the facts?

He [Gore] considers Antarctica the canary in the mine, but again doesn’t tell the full story. He presents pictures from the 2% of Antarctica that is dramatically warming and ignores the 98% that has largely cooled over the past 35 years. The U.N. panel estimates that Antarctica will actually increase its snow mass this century.

Mr. Gore points to shrinking sea ice in the Northern Hemisphere, but don’t mention that sea ice in the Southern Hemisphere is increasing. Shouldn’t we hear those facts?

Mr. Gore talks about how the higher temperatures of global warming kill people. He specifically mentions how the European heat wave of 2003 killed 35,000. But he entirely leaves out how global warming also means less cold and saves lives. Moreover, the avoided cold deaths far outweigh the number of heat deaths. For the U.K. it is estimated that 2,000 more will die from global warming. But at the same time 20,000 fewer will die of cold.

The Liberal mind-set is too “shut up” the critics and skeptics and refuse to hear arguments and have reasonable debate. While Nancy Pelosi is currently running the U.S. House of Representatives with an iron fist by refusing floor debate with Republicans she is quickly moving to regulate green house gas emissions.

“I promise to do everything in my power to achieve energy independence … and to stop global warming,” Pelosi said.

Pelosi set a goal of the Fourth of July for finishing a global warming bill that would “truly declare our energy independence.”

Pelosi thinks she is “master of the universe” and discusses energy independence with global warming. Is she going to stop wood-burning stoves in New England too?

Since the election we have seen more intolerance for free speech, accuracy in reporting and an effort to keep opposing views silent. These obstacles are being set forth with a Liberal agenda that reflects Socialist viewpoints. It’s common to call Democrats “tax and spend Liberals” but with new power and inflated ambitions we’re seeing a move to push ideals which obstruct freedoms in the American Democracy and Constitutional rights.
