I am no longer affiliated in any manner with the Republican Party, it is “Grand” no more. As I have previously written, watching the piling on by the candidates against Mitt Romney was despicable and I would expect more from members I once supported collectively as Republicans.

It comes down to back room deals, slanderous and false statements by Mike Huckabee, John McCain, Rudy Giuliani, and the ilk that calls themselves Republican but follow a very Liberal agenda.

Further, I have taken my “Friend of Israel” logo down as I watched as American Jews voted for Hillary Clinton in mass and Joe Lieberman follows John McCain around like a puppy. Why would I support any group of people that favors electing a Socialist in America? Why don’t these people wake up to reality and understand who will fight terrorism or who will negotiate with the enemy to appease them not remove them?

Back to the GOP and RNC and the morons who are voting with their posterior side instead of studying the issues of immigration, free speech, tax cuts and decide if they want government to continue to grow out of control with universal healthcare, free college tuition for the masses including illegal immigrants and earmark spending that would make Tom Delay proud. Yes, Tom Delay was part of the problem and it sickens me when I hear the praise for this little man from Texas, who now an afterthought, helped Republicans spend like drunken sailors on shore leave and hand over Congress to Liberals.

Now we are looking at a Liberal White House occupant for at least 8 years, maybe well beyond. I understand Mitt Romney has changed positions, but Mike Huckabee and John McCain have specific, very Liberal records especially on immigration.

Sad to say I believe the Republican Party has such distaste for Mitt Romney because he is Mormon. A family man who doesn’t smoke or drink is less preferable to Republicans than someone campaigning as a war hero because he spent his time as a prisoner of war, and calls himself a Reaganite but votes against tax cuts. Republicans would prefer a pro-abortion candidate with a list of ex-wives and a public family feud from a very Liberal state by the name of Rudy Giuliani. Republicans claim an open border, tax and spend Liberal, Mike Huckabee, as one of their own.

I believe the Republican Party and Republican voters prefer liars, cheats and frauds to someone of proven decency and ability because of religion, despite his open belief in Christianity. Religion should not be a test for public office as Article VI of the Constitution states but the prejudice quietly displayed during this campaign season within the Republican Party cannot be dismissed.

Being a Republican is not being a Conservative and the candidates claiming those principles should begin explaining on their web sites how they can make such claims. They don’t because they can’t!
