Barack Hussein Obama claimed a triumph for spending rectitude after the Senate stripped out funding for the Air Force’s F-22 Raptor fighter. Credit $1.75 billion in savings, or a third of a percentage point of the overall 2010 defense request.
Now to balance that budget the former community organizer and Marxist/Fascist hybrid will only need to find $2-3 trillion more. We suppose the so-called rich better go offshore quickly as their assets are no longer safe.
Focusing resources on Afghanistan and Iraq (we thought Obama claimed victory in Iraq) is a good thing but taking the money from a top fight plain, the F-22 Raptor is irresponsible.
Designed for air-to-air combat and to fly at supersonic speeds without being detected by radar, the F-22 was consideded a relic of cold-war thinking and not recognized as a modern defense that would provide America air superiority for decades to come.
China and Russia continue to build and enhance their military capabilities while Obama stays with his agenda to make the United States vulnerable and become less than the world’s only superpower. A strong defense, thanks to President Reagan, was a very big reason for ending the cold war but Obama would ignore this fact.
Obama is busy sizing down the Navy and cutting missile defense programs while the Chinese and Russians snicker at the inept but “gifted” Obama who would give America a giant push to self-destruction economically and defensively.
Obama is cutting defense so he can spend for social programs that would leave the government in charge of individual lives while taxing what is left of personal wealth.
The New York Times reports:
“Senate aides said that some Democrats who otherwise might have voted for more planes sided with the President out of concern that a loss could have hurt him in the fight for health care reform.”
As Ronald Reagan told the Republican National Convention in Dallas in 1984:
“There are some who’ve forgotten why we have a military. It’s not to promote war; it’s to be prepared for peace.”
When the Socialist agenda driven Obama obtains what he wants America loses. Indeed!

It’s always Reagan, isn’t it? Could you possibly point to a politician / elected official / school teacher who is in the GOP – AND ALIVE – so they can demonstrate your worldview? Or don’t people do that anymore? What about all the Republicans cheating on their wives? Are they Reagan conservatives, too? WTF do we need a bunch of planes that GATES doesn’t even want? Must we waste the money?

I point to Mr. Ronald Reagan because he is the Gold Standard of Conservatism.
Might I also point to Sir Edmund Burke to satisfy you?
