Very little is being reported on the Public Allies organization where Mr. Obama was a founding member in 1992 and wife Michelle became executive director of the Chicago chapter in 1993.
We believe in entrepreneurial enterprise, the Obama’s believe in “Social
Entrepreneurship” or “social engineering” via non-profit groups to capture and gain commitment of the youth and encourage “community organizing” and skipping opportunities to succeed in the world of business.
Public Allies is “community organizing on steroids with a paid boot camp style of indoctrination or formal brainwashing of members for ages 18-30.
“‘Big Brother had nothing on the Obamas. They plan to herd American youth into government-funded reeducation camps where they’ll be brainwashed into thinking America is a racist, oppressive place in need of “social change.”‘
Public allies touts “paid one-year “community leadership” positions with nonprofit or government agencies. The Obama’s tout “economic justice”, which means punishing the successful and redistributing their wealth by government fiat. It’s a euphemism for Socialism.
Disguising the wealth transfers as “investments” — “to make America more competitive,” Obama says, or “that give us a fighting chance,” whatever that means.
Among Obama’s proposed “investments”:
• “Universal,” “guaranteed” health care.
• “Free” college tuition.
• “Universal national service” (a la Havana).
• “Universal 401(k)s” (in which the government would match contributions made by “low- and moderate-income families”).
• “Free” job training (even for criminals).
• “Wage insurance” (to supplement dislocated union workers’ old income levels).
• “Free” child care and “universal” preschool.
• More subsidized public housing.
• A fatter earned income tax credit for “working poor.”
• And even a Global Poverty Act that amounts to a Marshall Plan for the Third World, first and foremost Africa.
Obama, fresh out of law school, spent eight days in Los Angeles taking a national training course taught by Saul Alinsky’s Industrial Areas Foundation. Obama returned to Chicago to reapply — as well as teach — Alinsky’s “agitation” tactics.
Alinsky wrote in Rules for Radicals:
“There’s another reason for working inside the system. Dostoevsky said that taking a new step is what people fear most. Any revolutionary change must be preceded by a passive, affirmative, non-challenging attitude toward change among the mass of our people. They must feel so frustrated, so defeated, so lost, so futureless in the prevailing system that they are willing to let go of the past and change the future. This acceptance is the reformation essential to any revolution. To bring on this reformation requires that the organizer work inside the system, among not only the middle class but the 40 per cent of American families – more than seventy million people – whose income range from $5,000 to $10,000 a year [in 1971]. They cannot be dismissed by labeling them blue collar or hard hat. They will not continue to be relatively passive and slightly challenging. If we fail to communicate with them, if we don’t encourage them to form alliances with us, they will move to the right. Maybe they will anyway, but let’s not let it happen by default.”
According to Alinsky, the main job of the organizer is to bait an opponent into reacting.
“The enemy properly goaded and guided in his reaction will be your major strength.”
Public Allies promotes “diversity and inclusion,” a program paper that more than 70% of its recruits are “people of color.” When they’re not protesting, they’re staffing AIDS clinics, handing out condoms, bailing criminals out of jail and helping illegal aliens and the homeless obtain food stamps and other welfare.
“Don’t go into corporate America,” Michelle Obama has exhorted youth.
”Work for the community. Be social workers.” Shun the “money culture,” Barack Obama added.
“Individual salvation depends on collective salvation.”
“If you commit to serving your community,” Obama pledged in his Denver acceptance speech, “we will make sure you can afford a college education.”
Study Jonah Goldberg’s Liberal Fascism: The Secret History of the American Left, From Mussolini to the Politics of Meaning, which will give you more than a primer on what the Obama’s really stand for. They use terms as “progressive” and “collective” and “community”, which is all code for Socialism. Where else better to hone your program than with poor and vulnerable youth.
Obama proves the apple does not fall far from the tree. As a Nairobi bureaucrat, Barack Hussein Obama Sr., a Harvard-educated economist, grew to challenge the ruling pro-Western government for not being Socialist enough. In an eight-page scholarly paper published in 1965, he argued for eliminating private farming and nationalizing businesses “owned by Asians and Europeans.”
His ideas for communist-style expropriation didn’t stop there. He also proposed massive taxes on the rich to “redistribute our economic gains to the benefit of all.”
“Theoretically, there is nothing that can stop the government from taxing 100% of income so long as the people get benefits from the government commensurate with their income which is taxed,” Obama Sr. wrote. “I do not see why the government cannot tax those who have more and syphon some of these revenues into savings which can be utilized in investment for future development.”
One recruit, and 2005 graduate of Public Allies, explains:
“It’s a lot of talk about race, a lot of talk about sexism, a lot of talk about homophobia, talk about -isms and phobias.”
The anti-military Obama’s have much bigger plans for Public Allies, funded by Clinton’s AmeriCorps:
Obama wants to fully fund it and expand it into a national program that some see costing $500 billion.
“We’ve got to have a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded” as the military, Obama has said.
One should wonder if weapons are in the future plans of Public Allies as a means to an end and brings to meaning from the old term “progressive”, which is nothing more than the systematic implementation of a “collective” society and the destruction of individualism and capitalism.
The United Negro College Fund mission is to:
“… enhance the quality of education by providing financial assistance to deserving students, raising operating funds for member colleges and universities, and increasing access to technology for students and faculty at historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs).”
The Obama’s, both Barack and Michelle, have a different mission….to perform a lobotomy on young minds, turn them into Socialist mush and then control every facit of their lives and yours. They call it “Community Organizing”, we call it brainwashing. Indeed!

As an avowed Alinskyite Marxist, all this stuff about Obama was always assumed. We also knew it would be proven if it was ever investigated (i.e. Media did its job). Finally, between Investors Business Daily looking into this and Stanley Kurtz investigating the Chicago Annenberg Challenge – the 6-year, $115 million scam run by Obama and terrorist Bill Ayers (“just some guy in the neighborhood”)- things could get REALLY fun.

Three Cheers for the Investors Business Daily for the whole series on the Democratic Socialist Coupe in progress.
What a bunch of morons in the Washington/Media Elite – The Obama Demo plans have been hiding in plain sight and they won’t share, bad communists.
Demolition, not Democratic.
I smelled a rat with Economic Plan features that phase in over 10 years! Who needs term limits, just set the econmic time-delay bombs and walk away Barack!
This “Non-Profit” is exactly why we need to increase tax burden…and probably should have been placed on the terrorist freeze list.

Increase tax burden on Public Allies, Acorn or just shut them down?
ACORN would be easier to attack because of their tactics. Public Allies is under the guise of education and community work.

Congradulations, you’ve just convinced me to vote for Obama! If he really does advocate universal health care, free job training, and wage insurance, he’d be the best president the US has had in decades. Be careful of the message you’re trying to put across, you might convince people to vote exactly opposite of how you want them to vote.

You were already convinced Mikey. You want a handout from the government.
If you read this site you would never vote for the Socialist Obama. NEVER!

It is amazing that people will take a distorted smear job and distort it further without any critical thinking or objective research.
Public Allies is not a radical organization. In fact, the Bush administration tripled its funding, named them a model of faith-based and community initiatives, and hired them to help other nonprofits improve their services (they teach people how to fish rather than give them fish). Also, John McCain has championed and called for more than tripling AmeriCorps programs like Public Allies if he is elected.
The organization does not sponsor, endorse or participate in partisan or protest activities whatsoever and its service is conducted in partnership with groups like American Red Cross, Boys and Girls Clubs, faith-based organizations, and even charter and choice schools.
The organization’s leadership curriculum is fairly similar to the types of leadership curricula that FORTUNE 500 companies use. Public Allies’ effective management and business savvy led Fast Company Magazine to give them a “Social Capitalist Award.”
It is a shame that people will make up “facts” and distort information to attack a good organization because the Obamas have supported it.

Well the Bush administration isn’t always correct. Teresa Kerry Heinz has 40+ foundations one of which was found to be sending money to Hamas.
The point of this article is Public Allies has a mission, under the guise of AmeriCorp, and founded by two Socialists with a mantra of a Socialist type theme. Anti-corporation, anti-establishment and pay to learn what they teach and what they teach isn’t always positive from a traditional standpoint.
Should we also say that also Universities are clean because they are institutions of higher learning when these places are filled with brainwashing, Anti American professors. Ward Churchill (Colorado), William Ayers (Illlinois at Chicago), Bernadine Dorhn (Northwestern), Juan Cole (Michigan), Julio Assad Pino (Kent State), Dr. Sami Al-Arian (U. of South Florida).
I’m sure we could compile quite a list. We would say to be naive and totally uninformed by watching the surface and failing to dig deep is a dangerous way to go through life. Watch the trailer to Obsession (my left lower sidebar) and think about buying the full video to watch and share.) This is extreme but explains in part how youth and our own freedoms are used against us as with the 9/11 “Magnificant 19″ as they are portrayed.
It isn’t that simple and exposing elements that seem fine on the surface is what exposes threats in the long-term. We haven’t made up facts but offered links and information to support our post. Why do folks who suddenly disagree with LC rant saying we “make things up” but fail to offer facts to support their weak argument?

This is another reason why you should think twice before believing what you read as “news”. This article is absurd.
I was also a Public Ally, after graduating college, before going back to school for a Masters Degree in Public Administration. I now work in City government using GIS mapping technology (a private sector tool, no less!) to make better decisions for the spending of our taxpayer money.
Please don’t believe CRAP like this. Where would our country be without devoted public servants filling your potholes, running your trains, housing children without families, and providing medical services to the elderly? If caring about your community and devoting a year of your life to community service is wrong, I guess Public Allies is guilty.

We’re happy for you and we’re not knocking volunteering, community service or other good things.
Our complaint is the methodology and many (see the links) don’t agree with you and they are your fellow alums.

After college I participated in the Public Allies program for one year. I was placed with a faith based, non-profit organization that helps homeless, single mothers become productive citizens who are able to support their families. It was a service to my country and fellow American citizens that I am very proud of – nothing at all like the ‘radical boot camp’ described here. Please, do some objective research next time.
September 10th, 2008 at 9:40 pm
We didn’t say everyone had a non-productive experience, we’re looking at the bigger picture and it’s understandable if you’re uninformed. Further, we have the fact checking basis and support or Investor’s Business Daily and other links, if you check them, that back our analysis.

Yeah sure ya know Hitler said he was sending jewish people (only the strongest at the beginning) into “bootcamps” how much longer until hes forcin our youth into “bootcamps” against our will????

And now the NEA has recommended reading Alinsky-the very un-American author of Rules for Radicals etc. If this is not indcotrination, I don’t know what would be.

I completely agree with this article. More and more real Americans, who are familiar with this country’s Constitution and Bill of Rights and know what true democracy means, are going to get more than fed up and prepare for the internal and external revolution. Don’t let your children be ignorant of the founding principles of this country, go out and enjoy the day, and make sure you believe in something bigger than the turmoils of this world. God bless.
