Obama’s Horses, Bayonets and Ignorance
Barack Obama’s arrogance shined in the final presidential debate, and Obama was far from presidential. He attacked Mitt Romney as if “The One” really is some sort of expert on military matters. Obama, at best, is an uninformed dunce on national security and military matters. Only his giant ego allows him to believe he’s the smartest guy in the room except he hardly is especially one Mitt Romney is there. Obama demonstrated his ignorance in the following statement:
“You mentioned the Navy, for example, and that we have fewer ships than we did in 1916. Well, Governor, we also have fewer horses and bayonets, because the nature of our military’s changed. We have these things called aircraft carriers, where planes land on them. We have these ships that go underwater, nuclear submarines.
Number one, Marines and other combat troops do carry bayonets as well as knives. Obama only understands that you stick a knife in someone’s back when you’re using them for your own purposes.
The U.S. special operations teams that led the American invasion in Afghanistan a decade ago did something that no American military had done since the last century: ride horses into combat.
Obama can’t win a debate on facts so he must attempt to mock, humiliate and patronize his opponent, it’s all he has. The smartest guy on the debate stage is Mitt Romney and Obama is thoroughly intimidated and it shows.
“Truth is an obstacle for Liberals.” ~ Rep. Allen West (R-FL)
Although the kinds of ships in the present day aren’t the same as those ahead of World War I, there are specific laws of physics which have not altered. And one of these is the fact that, regardless of how much cyber capabilities or even space capabilities might exist, a ship can nevertheless be in one location during a single moment. Hence, whether it be battleships or perhaps aircraft carriers, whether it’s nuclear-powered submarines or even biplanes, each and every process is only able to enter a single location during a period. Plus a shortfall of naval vessels, which currently exists, signifies that you will have occasions as well as locations in which there is going to be a lot fewer ships than U.S. Navy experts and officers consider applicable and essential.
The concept that superior cyber capacities may substitute for physical capability makes up a basic misconception of how military forces function. Certainly, this hasn’t been aided with the dismissive perspective assumed by Barack Obama’s first Secretary of Defense on how the U.S. had unnecessary quantities of aircraft carriers, as if the appropriate state of American security would be to have equality with would-be adversaries, as opposed to crystal clear superiority.
Obama thinks he is superior to everyone else but he couldn’t carry water for Mitt Romney. The fact is, Mr. Romney is successful on his own merits and hard work. Osama bin Laden was captured and killed because of the military and intelligence apparatus in place that Obama inherited from the Bush administration. Obama didn’t take the shot that got bin Laden, trained Navy Seals who risked their lives got Osama bin Laden.
Yes, horses and bayonets are still used by the US military and Obama remains, as ever, a horse’s ass.
