Two, two, two reality checks in Copenhagen while world dictators decide for free people everywhere that climate change is important and Hugo Chavez is a hero.
Reality Check #1:
World leaders flying into Copenhagen today to discuss a solution to global warming will first face freezing weather as a blizzard dumped 10 centimeters (4 inches) of snow on the Danish capital overnight.
“Temperatures will stay low at least the next three days,” Henning Gisseloe, an official at Denmark’s Meteorological Institute, said today by telephone, forecasting more snow in coming days. “There’s a good chance of a white Christmas.”
Delegates from 193 countries have been in Copenhagen since Dec. 7 to discuss how to fund global greenhouse gas emission cuts. U.S. President Barack Obama will arrive before the summit is scheduled to end tomorrow.
Denmark has a maritime climate and milder winters than its Scandinavian neighbors. It hasn’t had a white Christmas for 14 years, under the DMI’s definition, and only had seven last century. Temperatures today fell as low as minus 4 Celsius (25 Fahrenheit).
DMI defines a white Christmas as 90 percent of the country being covered by at least 2 centimeters of snow on the afternoon of Dec. 24.
Reality Check #2:
While frigid outside it was warmer than usual inside the Climate Change conference where Venezuelan President Chavez brought the house down.
When Chavez said the process in Copenhagen was:
“not democratic, it is not inclusive, but isn’t that the reality of our world, the world is really and imperial dictatorship…down with imperial dictatorships” he got a rousing round of applause.
When Chavez said there was:
a “silent and terrible ghost in the room” and that ghost was called capitalism, the applause was deafening.
But then Chavez wound up to his grand conclusion – 20 minutes after his 5 minute speaking time was supposed to have ended and after quoting everyone from Karl Marx to Jesus Christ:
“our revolution seeks to help all people…socialism, the other ghost that is probably wandering around this room, that’s the way to save the planet, capitalism is the road to hell….let’s fight against capitalism and make it obey us.”
Chavez won a standing ovation.
Chavez rouses the rabble with more anti-Americanism, too:
“I don’t think Obama is here yet. He got the Nobel Peace Prize almost the same day as he sent 30,000 soldiers to kill innocent people in Afghanistan.”
A mass-murderer followed Chavez at Copenhagen and lectures us about our crimes. The anti-capitalist theme was picked up on by Mr. Mugabe, Zimbabwe’s veteran President, who is the target of Western sanctions over alleged human rights abuses.
“When these capitalist gods of carbon burp and belch their dangerous emissions, it’s we, the lesser mortals of the developing sphere who gasp and sink and eventually die.”
Yes, the Copenhagen farce is not about global warming now conveniently called “climate change”, it’s not about saving the world. The reality in Copenhagen is the anti-Capitalism, free world, liberty loving citizens, especially American’s. The reality check is this: WAKE UP AMERICA! Indeed!
