When you carefully think about politician’s and government consider they really don’t do much to provide a return on your investment. Notice around election time a road receives a facelift of asphalt and signs go up telling you to thank the list of officials who are putting your tax dollar to work for you?
I was a Certified Public Accountant with business clients years before many of the beltway bunch ever got to office. With graduate credentials in finance and economic I can attest that government wastes, wastes, and wastes more because these people are unqualified to handle money. The “economists” on the politicians staffs come from the Leftist thought process and believe spending is the answer to economic ills, which is false.
The Heritage Foundation is a wonderful place to get information on how government operates and affects the average citizen’s life. This is not a paid commercial but a place to spend your valuable time to possibly save your valuable money and freedom.
Let’s look at the headlines. You may read further if inclined to do so. I’ve read each article and attest from a professional standpoint that the headlines honestly speak to the economic facts.

You have your reading assignment or may wish to take the advice of a moronic registered Democrat who recently said to me: “If this stuff drives you crazy then don’t read it.”
I’m not an ostrich and provided this idiot a few expletives as adjectives for Democrats, Republicans and other ilk who think raising taxes and creating more poor citizens is Democratic government.
We file our taxes by the April 15th deadline but we don’t stop paying taxes. If you’re on Social Security you pay taxes on your taxes. Isn’t that a nice way to depend on government mandated retirement? We pay taxes after we die and our families lose farms and other family owned businesses.
New York can’t resist having the nation’s highest taxes. So after California raised its top income tax rate to 10.55% last month, Albany’s politicians leapt into action to reclaim high-tax honors. They can invite politicians from the at least 10 other states that are also considering major tax hikes, including Oregon, Illinois, Wisconsin, Washington, Arizona and New Jersey.
Buy a sandwich and soft drink in downtown Chicago, get a receipt and see if you can keep lunch down while you read the itemized tax list and notice the smorgasbord of non-consumption pricing.
State politicians who took your tax money under the guise of “stimulus money” are pocketing the federal cash to maintain spending, and raising taxes anyway. Just another spend-and-tax bait and switch. How thoughtful of your elected officials. Is this what you voted for?
If you haven’t paid attention you’re probably not spending any time on this blog. If you don’t study the issues you’re probably not reading this blog. If you’re voting for tax and spend Liberals on both sides of the political isle you’re not researching this blog.
Too bad, you’re one more moronic idiots with your head in the sand. You’re probably getting what you voted for – a tax and spend politician. Or maybe you’re in favor of higher taxes for those who create jobs and economic stability. Then you’re part of the problem. Indeed!

I will read them all. I always do…I ask pertinent questions…I did just that in Topeka when we went there to protest! I asked the CEO of Sunflower Electric (wholesale provider…I didn’t know they existed) how much was cap and trade going to cost the retail electric user…I got this answer $600 to $1000 per year just for electric service….many people thanked me for asking the “right” questions. I got quite the education on the way electric service is funneled to rural coops in this state. I learned about Proposition K…a bill that will change property taxes in this state….they have increased 119% in the last year!
My motto: You are never to old to learn! The other: You can always teach old dogs new tricks! Thanks for this post!

I got another education from American Electric Power (AEP). In December this place (home) was nearly shutdown. Compared to the previous December the electric was off. No lights, very little heat, nada.
So when I get the bill the usage is way, way up. They come out at my request and do the dog and pony show, checking the meter running some tests and telling me everything is OK. But….no answer to the increased usage. Must have been the Alvin and the chipmunks or may Santa and his elves set up shop while we were gone.
The bill is an interesting lesson is who knows what, or that game 50 questions:
Generation service;
Transmission service;
Distribution service;
Customer charge;
So they generate, transmit, distribute and then have an extra customer charge. What is that?
In the Cleveland OH area one community was using less water so a politician told a radio host they needed to increase the price of water because revenues were falling.
So if we conserve energy (or water)the companies will receive less revenue and charge us more to make up the difference while the government adds taxes so we use less under the guise of global warming and conservation.
Taxpayer loses, politician wins, energy company increases revenues to maintain bottom line while inventing a term for “hidden taxes.”
Win Win for the utilites and lose more for us. Remarkable, indeed!
