We suppose Islam fully disagrees with anything not Islamic and anyone not practicing Islam, a “non-believer”, is not worthy of life and should not expect 72 virgins nor paradise upon death.

The 1st Amendment of the U.S. Bill of Rights states:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

Islam flies in the face of 1st Amendment rights but around the world Islam ignores anyone, a U.S. citizen or not, to have the freedom of religion and free speech. If you don’t obey a fatwā may be issued against you and your freedom to live comes into question.

Fitna is an upcoming film by Dutch politician Geert Wilders. The movie will offer a critical view of Islam and the Quran. The name comes from the Arabic word Fitna, which is used to describe, “disagreement and division among people”, or a “test of faith in times of trial”.

Mr. Wilders has called for banning the Quran, which he has compared to Hitler’s “Mein Kampf“, from the Netherlands.

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) is a front group headquartered in the United States who speak on in defense of anything Islamic even if it flies in the face of U.S. laws or the Constitution.

Talk radio host Michael Savage is suing CAIR as he has relentlessly spoken out against the many violent tenets of Islam and CAIR.

Savage’s suit claims, “CAIR has links to both Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood. Terrorism expert Steven Emerson has stated before Congress that CAIR is a front for Hamas”.

CAIR does not like what Mr. Savage is saying about Islam and brought pressure to bear on his sponsors to drop him. Savage is almost alone in denouncing those who support the organizations in this country that funnel money to terrorist groups.

The San Francisco-based talker originally accused the Islamic organization of copyright violations, but later amended the action to include allegations the group “has consistently sought to silence opponents of violent terror through economic blackmail, frivolous but costly lawsuits, threats of lawsuits and abuses of the legal system.”

The action in U.S. District Court in Northern California also accused CAIR of using extortion, threats, abuse of the court system and obtaining money via interstate commerce under false and fraudulent circumstances – calling it a “political vehicle of international terrorism” and even “linking the group with support of al-Qaeda.”

The U.S. federal government recently named Washington D.C. based CAIR as an unindicted co-conspirator in an alleged scheme to funnel $12 million to the terrorist group Hamas, the Palestinian terrorist group.

“Groups like CAIR have a proven record of senior officials being indicted and either imprisoned or deported from the United States”, said U.S. Rep. Sue Myrick, R-N.C., co-founder of the House Anti-Terrorism/Jihad Caucus.”

Our country allows fringe groups like the American Nazi Party to demonstrate, as long as they are peaceful. Americans are permitted to burn the national flag. In 1989, when so-called artist Andres Serrano displayed his work “Piss Christ” — a photo of a crucifix immersed in a bottle of urine — Americans protested peacefully and moved to cut off the federal funding that supported Mr. Serrano. Criticizing Islam leads to violence and murder:

• Ayatollah Khomeini issued a fatwa calling for Muslims to kill Salman Rushdie over his 1988 book, “The Satanic Verses.”
• The 2005 Danish editorial cartoons lampooning the prophet Muhammad led to numerous deaths.
• Dutch director Theodoor van Gogh was killed in 2004, several months after he made the film “Submission,” which described violence against women in Islamic societies.
• Ayaan Hirsi Ali, a former Dutch member of parliament who wrote the script for “Submission,” received death threats over the film and fled the country for the United States.

Sharia is the body of Islamic religious law; radical jihadist movements reject the basic values of modern civilization and wish replace them with an extreme form of Sharia and are prepared to use violence against individuals to stop them from exercising their free speech rights.

Peter Hoekstra (R-MI) writes:

In some countries, converting a Muslim to another faith is a crime punishable by death. While Muslim clerics are free to preach and proselytize in the West, some Muslim nations severely restrict or forbid other faiths to do so. In addition, moderate Muslims around the world have been deemed apostates and enemies by radical jihadists.

Radical jihadists believe representative government is un-Islamic, and urge Muslims who live in democracies not to exercise their right to vote.

I believe efforts to create parallel Islamic societies in European countries have are  jihadist “waiting games,” based on the assumption that the Islamic populations of many European states will become the majority over the next 25-50 years due to higher Muslim birth rates and immigration.

An example of ”Islamist takeover” would be Kosovo, which has been taken over by so-called minorities or “ethnics” but is a Muslim population that did not exist in Serbia’s centuries old history. When Serbia attempted to prevent a takeover of portions if its country is was called “ethnic cleansing” and the Clinton administration bomb the Serbs into submission. Nobody in the free world was too upset that hundreds of Orthodox Christian churches in Kosovo were burned to the ground by Muslims along with the killing and displacement of thousands of Serbs who lived in that Serbian region.

A German court ruled last year that a German Muslim man had the right to beat his wife, as this was permitted under Sharia.

Britain’s Archbishop of Canterbury, Rowan Williams, stated last month that the implementation of some measure of Sharia in Britain was “unavoidable” and British Muslims should have the choice to use Sharia in marital and financial matters.

We cannot subvert the U.S. Constitution with “political correctness” and appeasement to religious who wish to burn our laws and invoke radical laws that would destroy the United States as we enjoy it today.

Representative Hoekstra concludes:

A central premise of the American experiment are these words from the Declaration of Independence: “All men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” There are similar statements in the U.S. Constitution, British Common Law, the Napoleonic Code and the U.N. Declaration of Human Rights. As a result, hundreds of millions in the U.S. and around the world enjoy freedom of speech, freedom of assembly, freedom of religion and many other rights.

These liberties have been won through centuries of debate, conflict and bloodshed. Radical jihadists want to sacrifice all we have learned by returning to a primitive and intolerant world. While modern society invites such radicals to peacefully exercise their faith, we cannot and will not sacrifice our fundamental freedoms.

Ignoring the facts of Sharia and the current takeover of communities by Islamist fanatics who practice and preach Sharia is not an option. Placating any group who wishes to subvert the U.S. Constitution and force it’s beliefs on a society is not an option.

Sharia is quietly practicing the war on terror in many U.S. neighborhoods and it’s time Americans wake-up to the fact that the days of Ozzie and Harriet or Father Knows Best are over. It’s time for “America to Know Best” and understands our life depends on it. Indeed!
